Big fan! Great cocktails and the arroz con pollo was a favorite of ours-- the grilled octopus is also very good. The ceviche was a bit too acidic, but we finished it nonetheless-- LIC is also very pretty (walk to the park postgame) Cheers!

Delicious Peruvian food! We got the ceviche and I ordered the duck, which is Sundays only. I thogutb the duck was ok, but the ceviche was really good! Not too many pieces of fish but the flavor was delicious. A bit on the pricey end of food as well. Would recommend!

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but the high-top chairs were quite uncomfortable for a longer meal. The service was excellent--our servers were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, the appetizers stood out more than the entrées, though I wasn't a fan of the crab dish. While the flavors were good overall, the prices felt steep for Peruvian cuisine, especially considering there are other spots in Queens that offer similar dishes at a much lower cost.

When I first got to Jora, I was offered free coat check before I was led to my seat. I ordered Arroz Con Mariscos and absolutely loved it. The dish was so flavorful and there was a variety of different seafood (shrimp, octopus, mussel) to eat. I also tried a little bit of the Lomo Saltado. My initial thought was that it was really delicious, but later on the fries were soaked for too long in the sauce and became quite salty. I also had some of their Broccolini & Choclo, which was pretty average for vegetables and could probably use more seasoning. While the other dishes weren't as good as Arroz Con Mariscos, everything was tasty nonetheless. The servers were also attentive and I left feeling satisfied.

Beautiful and delicious, what more could you ask for? Great Long Island city location, easy to get to by ferry and train. Really gorgeous inside - I love all the plants! Clean space and super nice service. I ordered the aji de gallina and we shared the ceviche mixto, just perfect for both. I got a calendula mocktail that hit my sweet and sour spots. Ordered extra meal for take home, it was that good.

Everything was sooo tasty. Ceviche Carretilla is marked spicy but it's very mild. Still delicious and loaded with flavor. A great light starter before the heavier plates. If you like corn bread, get the Pastel de cholo. Rich and hearty and plenty of you want to share. Perfect for chilly evening. I know Lomo Saltado is THE Peruvian dish but don't sleep on the Arroz con Pollo. A humble plain Jane name -it's a classic done very well. I'm also a sucker for melt in your mouth sweet plantains. Two thumbs up for a solid Peruvian restaurant in LIC.

This is easily one of the best Peruvian restaurants in NYC! Every dish is spot on and absolutely delicious. Of course, you can't visit a Peruvian spot without trying the ceviche--it's a must! The jalea, a platter of crispy fried seafood and yuca, is incredible. Be sure to try the octopus, perfectly charred and served with a delicious sauce. The empanadas are also a solid choice. For the mains, I highly recommend the arroz con mariscos--think of it as a Peruvian take on paella, perfectly seasoned, fresh, and absolutely amazing. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Jora has some fantastic Peruvian food and I highly recommend it. Please note that they do not take reservations so if you're coming on Friday- Sunday, try to get there when they open especially if it's a big group. My friends and I ordered the ceviche mixto, huacatay french fries, jasmine choclo rice, lomo saltado, grilled ribeye, and picante de salmon. Everything was fantastic but the meats definitely stood out. The lomo saltado had this amazing sauce that I couldn't get enough of- make sure to order a side of the rice to soak it in since this main dish doesn't come with rice. The grilled ribeye was a perfect medium rare per request and the fingerling potatoes and chimichurri sauce complemented it very well. I wasn't a huge fan of the salmon my girlfriends had but the brussel sprouts that it came with was delicious. In addition to the A1 food, we also got the passion fruit cheesecake and tres leches for dessert. The passion fruit was definitely my favorite of the two- it was tart yet sweet without being cloying. The tres leches was not a traditional tres leches as it came with coffee and chocolate which kind of ruined it for me TBH. All in all, I would return back to Jora as there are several items on the menu I'd like to try but didn't have room for such as the Jalea!
